The African American Democratic Club of Greater Baltimore

Kudos to C.D. Witherspoon on getting new organization for African American Democrats in Baltimore area (See

).

Such an initiative is long overdue, especially given the need for a black agenda in Maryland.

Keep up the great work, CD, and all who joined him, including freshman Delegate Cheryl Glen.

  1. I believe in this potential of this
Democratic Club that I would like to be the first person to offer $50.00 to get the initial ball rolling for the immediate needs of this organization.

I have spoken to Bro. Min CD and I believe that this is something long overdue. I supported CD Economically during his Campaign as well as when he was the President of the Young Democrats. I never would have joined the Young Democrats without him.

For this reason I say that I would like to be one of the leaders and workers in this collective
effort. I’m stepping up putting my money where my mouth is.

Anyone would like to raise my pledge???

We have work to do before the General Session begins in the New Year. We are not going to Hobble along.

If I need to finance this PAC myself as Willie Adams would have done then I will.

We need Economically Empowered folks to support Progressive causes and if anyone is Economically Disempowered and Fiscally Handicapped. We need to teach Investing, Cash Flow, Tax Strategies, Real Estate Cost Reduction etc… so that our Economics can Empower our Political folk.

Nothing else is exceptable. I will be encouraging CD and many others during this time to create independent business based upon the best
documented research in order that the leaders of this organization can have mulitple cash flows so they will not be coopted by the Big Money
interest. Before this gets started I say let us nip the Sellout mentality in the bud right now.

If folk are not about being independent and being “Authentically represent an Afrikan American yes Afrikan with a K Agenda then perhaps they may want to stick with the YDM.

I believe CD shares in my sentiments since YD didn’t want to register voters during the last city election. I did not speak at the event, I mostly listened. I hope that some share in my sentiments and that we all can help keep
each other fed, clothed and housed while we work towards more self-interest position.

  2. CD this was a good event. I hope that we can use online to begin to share a dailogue from which we can maximize the expressed interest of the Afrikan American Community in Baltimore. One particular issue that is getting out of hand is yet another child was arrested 8 years
old, the grandson of one of the Baltimore Community Activists in Baltimore. The question that should be raised are the children or family members of Activists and/or leaders being harrassed by the Baltimore City Police Department? Is there a concerted effort to intimidate those that have the intelligence to question Policies that may not be in the interest of the Black Community. We need such an organization that is unbought and unbossed.
